Frequently Asked Questions

  • As a certified travel advisor I’m here to make your life easier. Planning a trip is exciting, but it also takes a lot of time and can turn into work… And no one wants that. The entire process is laid out on my Services page, but basically I assess all your needs and wants in order to create a customized itinerary that includes top hotel recommendations, as well as unique ways to experience your destination of choice. I can handle the bookings for anything you need to make it the perfect trip: villas, car rentals, private transfers, tours and more.

As a fine wine consultant for the last 14 years, and longtime foodie, I’m always thrilled to dive into restaurant research and making reservations.

When it comes to airfare, my clients generally book their own.

If you love perks and feeling like a VIP, then I’m here for it!

  • #1 Time… Take it back! You have a busy schedule already, right?

#2 Expertise… Take the stress off your plate trying to decide between where best to go, what not to miss, and get my expert tips of all the best restaurants and places to hit up.

#3 VIP Perks… What better way to travel than to feel like a VIP? Room upgrades, thoughtful amenities, flexible check-in/-out times, breakfast included. I make sure each hotel you stay at knows your preferences so you feel totally taken care of.

  • Not a penny. You pay the same rates you see online for hotels, car rentals, tours, etc. Many of these service providers have negotiated agreements with my host agency, Fora Travel, and they pay a commission (typically around 10%) that is included in the public rates.

  • I can literally book any hotel in the world. Fora, my host agency, has partnerships with over 4,300 (and growing) hotels and resorts. Here is list of our preferred partners. It’s worth noting that the perks really kick in when you book those 4- and 5-Star hotels. In these cases you are pretty much guaranteed to enjoy room upgrades, food & beverage and/or spa credits, flexible arrival/departure times, and more amazing amenities!

Beyond hotels, I can also help you book private villas, cruises, tours and activities, and transportation.

  • Absolutely! It may even be possible to get perks added to the bookings you have already made. Either way, I am happy to help you plan other aspects of your trip. Feel free to reach out through my Contact page.

  • 100%

In these cases, I usually recommend using rewards points for flights as air travel has gotten more expensive. However, if you’ve got points to use (or accumulate) for hotels then I can sort that out on your behalf.

  • Plenty!

Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts (a platform that’s actually run by Expedia) does not offer the highly personalized travel planning that I do. Details are never overlooked. You are the priority. You have a direct contact if something isn’t quite right. The same goes for all the other online booking platforms, such as Bookings.com, Hotels.com, etc.

True: Amex has a great points program, lounge access, and numerous other perks to take advantage of.

My best advice is to book your flights with Amex — and rack up points on other expenses. If you allow me to manage the hotel bookings, I’ll do all the legwork and unlock a smoother travel experience… Perks included!

  • Memorable Trips…

I was lucky to spend 10 days in Sicily for my honeymoon, and the time we spent to explore the island, from visiting vineyards on the slopes of Mount Etna, to savoring the sweet delights of Noto, are moments that are forever etched in my memories.

I planned a whole trip in 2022 around a rare reservation at El Cellar de Can Roca, and those 10 days became a foodie heaven between Barcelona, Girona and San Sebastian, experiencing some of the best food I’ve ever had in the world.

    Dreaming of Next…

Taking a luxury cruise down the Nile, exploring the epic natural beauty of New Zealand, visiting the Taj Mahal in India…. the list is endless!
